What is meant by a FREE membership?
You can become a member of Smwch for FREE by completing a profile and uploading or sending us your photographs. You do not pay any money for sending messages to any other members. You can send unlimited number of private messages which are monitored in your account under the heading 'MESSAGES SENT'. You will be charged a monthly fee if you choose to 'RECEIVE' any private messages as this requires your account to be active. You can choose a package that suits your monthly budget.

What methods of payment do you have available?
There are three methods of payment. Online via a secure credit card transaction, paying with credit card over the phone and paying by cheque. All three methods become available to you if you choose to receive any messages.

What happens if I choose not to receive any messages?
Smwch encourages all members to be active. Accounts which remain over a long period of time may be deleted by Smwch administration at our discretion.

I'm getting malicious messages - what should I do?
Use your 'block a member' link, located in your account, to stop receiving any messages from any other member and report the incident to Smwch administration immediately. Smwch take all complaints very seriously and will act promptly if any member abuses the system.

I would very much like to become a member but I do not have access to a private computer - what can I do?
So, you don't necessarily have to have access to a computer to benefit from this service. Simply request a form through the post. Complete and return to us with your photograph and we will put your details online for you. Messages to be sent, or received can be done by using Smwch administration mobile text messaging service. Call us for more information.

I am not computer literate at all and would not know where to start?
The good news is that no you are not excluded. Call our technical team whilst you are using your computer. An administrator can show you how to do things through an easy step by step process.

I'm not receiving any messages - why?
Could be for a number of reasons. Firstly, you have to make the initial contact to other members, so be active. Members can have work commitments or be on holiday, so please be patient. Have you a photograph in your profile. It is a proven fact that a large percentage of members will not correspond to other members without a photograph with their profile. Your profile may contain 'None' or 'Not Given' in your details if you have not completed the profile fully. Go to your account and change your profile to include all fields. It is like a CV, so please make it interesting and also truthful.

I have had a number of initial messages - what should I do next?
Activate your account and start talking to other members - that's what it is all about - putting YOU in touch with other members. Take your time to chat and exchange questions, thoughts and ideas. If you feel it is the right moment to take things to the next stage then why not organise a meeting but proceed with caution and DO read our dating tips before arranging to meet.

Speed Dating
Is it ok to come to a speed dating event on my own?
The hosts will be there to meet you on arrival. We are there to make you feel comfortable and introduce you to others, many of whom, don't forget, will also be there on their own.

Is there a dress code?
Whilst first impressions count and we recommend smart/casual wear, we also like to stress that it is paramount that you be yourself. Hence, if you do not own a suit or an evening dress, don't rush out and buy one! it's more important that you feel relaxed and comfortable.

I don't know where the venue is - Will I receive details?
Smwch has two venues, Terra Nova Cardiff and The Salt Swansea and the links here will lead you to a printable map. If you get lost on the way to a particular venue - DON'T PANIC - just call us.

How important are the age ranges?
The age ranges indicate the age of the majority of people who will attending that event. They are not set in stone and are available for people outside the age range too.

What age ranges do you have?
We hold events for 25-35 and 35-45 throughout the year. If you are over 50+ then please call us we would like to arrange more dates for over 50s. As soon as we have equal numbers of men and women then we will immediately organise an event.

Who are the hosts meeting us on the evening?
You will be met by Rosie and Sian at each event. They will do everything to make you feel comfortable on your arrival at the venue and register you accordingly.

How do I pay?
You can pay by credit card over the telephone or send a cheque by post. We also offer secure on-line payments via Paypal, details of which you will receive upon booking.

Will my details be given to any other party?
Your first name, email address or mobile number will be given out only to mutual matches. Home telephone numbers will be given out only with your permission. We recommend that you give out mobile numbers and not home telephone numbers whenever possible.

We DO NOT give out anyone's home address.

Will the venue be private?
The venues have been selected very carefully based on the following:
- the venue is private and the daters cannot be scrutinised across a bar.
- there is ample distance between tables so that conversations are private.
- the bar is open throughout the evening.
- A bottle of wine is provided on each table.

What time does the event finish?
The dating should be finished by 10.30pm, but you are welcome to stay and mingle afterwards until 11.00pm or 12.00pm depending on the venues closing hours.

Am I able to cancel?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds, but if you contact us six working days prior to the event we will do our very
best to accommodate you on another suitable night.

What do people talk about?
Some people just come along and go with the flow and talk about everything from the weather to work, whilst others feel more comfortable loading themselves with a couple of questions beforehand. If a certain quality in a partner is very important to you, then you could tailor a question accordingly, which could reveal hidden depths.

What if I'm going to be late?
You can call us on 029 2025 2545 or mobile 07861 385613 to tell us when you are due to arrive. If we have to start without you, it is likely that you would probably only miss a few dates.

Are there any conditions?
You must be single, over 18 years old, have read our terms and conditions, have pre-booked an event and be prepared to have fun.

One 2 One
Where do you hold these One 2 One sessions?
The One 2 One sessions are held in a local venue. This is usually held in North Cardiff at a popular hotel bar.

What exactly do you cover?
The session is really all about YOU. Rosie comes with no preconceived ideas, but concentrates on the following areas:- personal profile, relationship history, current circumstances, ideal partner, goals and aspirations, dating tips, flirting tips and presentation.

Is it a counselling session?
Rosie has over 15 years experience in the field of counselling involving relationships and self-awareness. However this is NOT a counselling session but an opportunity to speak openly about yourself and to recognise areas for change.

How long does a session last?
The sessions lasts up to 2 hours at a time.

Do people book more than one session?
Most of the time one session is all that is needed but occasionally people book follow up appointments as they feel the need.
